Hello, my name is Paul Heavener. I’m a Thai-American Creative Director currently based in Brooklyn New York.
Since 2016, I’ve worked at HYPEBEAST where I am currently a Creative Director. Since my start, I’ve built out the in-house agency and content studio called HYPEMAKER, developing our aesthetic and voice, and working on over 200 photo, video, design, collaboration and editorial projects.
I have a love for storytelling and travel which is reflected in my ideas. Often, my work is inspired by a passion for early streetwear subcultures and contemporary Japanese fashion, scenes in which I’ve been deeply ingrained since the early 2000’s.
Occasionally, I also shoot photos, write, style and design things.
In a past life, I was a relationship manager and supervisor of a client services team in the financial services industry.
